Error: No rates available for this destination

Occasionally, when printing a label and shipping your order, you may encounter the error “No rates available for this destination.”

Here are some things you can check on your account to fix this error:

1. Check the address

Make sure the address information is correct and nothing is missing: postal code, city, etc.

2. Verify the delivery method in your courier contract

Go to Settings → My Courier → Select courier. If the shipping method is not in the list, click + Add Shipping Method.

3. Upload shipping rates

If you haven’t uploaded rates for this delivery method, upload them or download the default shipping rates template.

Make sure you’ve included rates for the destination country/postal code and that the order weight is covered.

For example: Canary Islands and the UK require specific postal code rates.

👉 See how to fill in the shipment rates file.

4. Add HS code for international shipments

HS code is mandatory outside of the EU. Missing codes can trigger this error.

👉 How to add HS codes manually in Outvio.

5. Review shipping rules

Sometimes rules force a method not configured for the order. For example, rules may assign orders with certain postal codes to a warehouse not included in courier settings.

Alternatively, update or remove the interfering rule.

👉 How to set up your contract with a courier.

6. Check product weight

Orders without assigned weights may also cause this error.

You can edit the order in the Orders tab → click the pencil icon → edit product details → add weight under Unit Weight

7. Recently modified or deleted couriers

If you deleted and re-added a courier, orders created earlier may still be linked to the old courier ID.

Update your shipping rules and retry shipping.

Summary checklist:

  • Address fields are complete (postal code, city, etc.)
  • Delivery method exists in courier settings
  • Destination and weight are included in rate files
  • HS code is added (for international orders)
  • Warehouse is linked to courier contract
  • Shipping rules don’t conflict
  • Product has weight assigned
  • Courier hasn’t been removed/deactivated without updating rules
