Posti Finland: Domestic shipping options
Express Parcel is a shipping option to deliver packages on the next weekday (Monday to Friday) by 4 p.m.
Express freight is the first option you have if you want to ship a larger amount of goods in one shipment. 90% of shipments are delivered on the following working day.
The price of Express freight is determined based on the number of transport units (pallet or Posti rolltainer).

Freight by contract
If you need flexible freight conditions, you can rely on Posti. 90% of shipments are delivered on the next working day.
The dimensions and weight of the transport unit —usually a pallet— will determine the shipping rate.
Posti: International shipping from Finland
The Priority parcel shipping option is available for shipments worldwide. The delivery takes place between 3-5 days in Nordic countries, 2-7 in the rest of Europe, and 6-14 days to countries outside Europe.
The parcels are shipped to a service point or the recipient’s doorstep.
The Express Mail Service is available for shipments worldwide. Parcels will be delivered to the recipient’s doorstep in a matter of 1-3 days if the destination is within the EU, or in 2-8 working days for other countries.
EBD – Express Business Day
For small parcels and pallets, you can ship with the Express Business Day service from Finland to 27 European countries. Shipments are delivered within 2-8 working days, depending on the destination.
Parcel Connect parcel
Parcel Connect is a shipping option for online stores that’s available for 14 countries in the EU with additional return options.
Your international customers will receive the order in 3-8 working days —depending on the destination country— at their doorstep.
Posti Parcel Baltic
Posti Parcel Baltic is a shipping service for parcels going to Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania.
In these countries, packages will be delivered to a parcel locker or service point. Shipments to Estonia and Latvia will be delivered in 1-2 working days, and 2-3 working days to Lithuania.
The Home Pallet shipping service aims to solve the issue of shipping from Finland to Sweden.
This option is especially useful for larger packages that need to be delivered to the address of a customer in Sweden. The delivery will take place in 2-5 days (not including weekends).
Home Parcel is a shipping method for deliveries to Sweden and Denmark.
Your Swedish and Danish customers will receive the parcel at their door in 2-5 days (Sweden) or 2-4 days (Denmark) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on a weekday.
PickUp Parcel delivers the packages to a pickup service point in Sweden or Denmark. There are around 3,000 different pickup points available. Your customers will receive the parcel in 2-5 days if they are in Sweden, or in 2-4 days if they are in Denmark (not including weekends).

Posti shipping rates
A domestic shipment of a package with standard size and weight can have a shipping rate from €4.40 to €11.63.
If the shipment requires a higher level of urgency, additional services, has a longer route, or we are talking about a freight shipment, the rate will be likely higher.

Additional services from Posti Finland
Transport of dangerous goods (VAK)
You can ship dangerous products if you hire this service. Posti will take care of this shipment and transport it safely and in accordance with the legislation.
If your products are sensitive to temperature, you can select “Heated transport”. This way your packages will be transported in a heated cargo space (over 0 degrees).
Scheduled Delivery shipments allow for flexible deliveries to better accommodate the preferences of your customers: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., 9 a.m. to 12 noon, 12 noon to 2 p.m., or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This shipping option is perfect for those items or packages that are 2.4 meters long and transported as freight. Selecting this additional service implies an extra day for the delivery of the package.
COD (Cash on Delivery)
The cash-on-delivery service is only available for domestic shipments and shipments to Baltic countries. The recipient can collect the parcel once the amount has been paid.
Additionally, Posti has its own online store from which you can purchase packaging for your shipments.
Returns for online stores
Posti offers some return options. However, they involve making the buyer visit a parcel locker or Posti outlet to return the product.
If you want to have a Posti courier go to your customers’ home addresses, you can come to an agreement with Posti to offer free and comfortable returns.

Dimensions and weight restrictions
For shipments within Finland
The minimum dimensions should be 15 x 15 x 1 cm and a minimum weight of 100 g.
The maximum dimensions are around 100 x 60 x 60 cm with a maximum weight of 25 kg.
These are estimates and may change depending on the shipping option you select. For instance, smaller parcels must be under 35 x 25 x 3 cm and below 2 kg, but freight shipments allow much larger sizes and their weight can reach 1000kg.
For international shipments
Roughly speaking, the minimum dimensions for international shipments are 15 x 11 x 1 cm and the minimum weight, 100 g.
Maximum dimensions are generally: length 120 cm, length + circumference a total of 300 cm, and a maximum weight of 35 kg. This can change depending on the specific service you choose and the destination country.
The conditions for international pallet services change, such as having larger sizes and weight.
The size and weight restrictions imply that no additional charge will be received because of these two variables, but you may be able to ship your items if you pay an additional size or weight fee.
